GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS
EXPEDITION KAYAKING reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes that become effective are posted on the website. It is the customer's responsibility to read the terms and conditions in any case he uses our services and the continued use of our services will mean his acceptance to be bound to the latter terms and conditions. Our terms and conditions are binding on all bookings made by our customers online or by phone.
All your activities must be carried out either in our presence or with our partners to ensure the proper use and protection of the company's equipment as well as for the photography-filming of the participants.
The outdoor activities / programs proposed by EXPEDITION KAYAKING are aimed at various ages & fitness levels. Following Greek relative legislation requirements persons under the age of 16 are not allowed to participate in the programms. Persons between 16 and up to 18 years old participate under the responsibility of their guardians and are accompanied by them. The only prerequisite of adult participants is good mental and physical health, willingness to cooperate with other participants and obedience to the organizer’s orders/regulations.
Any health problem that during the activity - program could endanger the participant (adult or underage) or the rest of the group, should be reported to the organizers, because the adult (or guardian of a minor) assumes full responsibility for his own health as wellas of the person who guards. Reporting a health problem - if any - to the organizers is a prerequisite for their participation in all events -outdoor activities of EXPEDITION KAYAKING. This information is managed by the organizers as confidential and concerns exclusively the safety of the participants in the activities - programs.
In our activities we operate according to the Leave No Trace principles, as listed on the following site https://lnt. org. Our partners will inform the participants before the start of the activities – programs and the latter must comply with them. In case that a participant does not adhere to the Leave No Trace principles and after repeating recommendations does not comply,he may be excluded from all or part of the program without refund or compensation.
Underage or adult participants are fully responsible for the safekeeping of their personal belongings-equipment during the outdoor activity / program.
EXPEDITION KAYAKING is not responsible for and does not provide transportation services to and from the meeting point.
Booking confirmation
Reservations are made for all dates and programs by e-mail or phone, but they are not considered confirmed until EXPEDITION KAYAKING sends the customer a booking confirmation for that program and date. To secure the reservation, EXPEDITION KAYKAKING requires from the customer 25% deposit for multi-day excursions and 50% for daily ones.
The deposit must be made before the implementation of the program. The reservation of a specific program is ensured only by receiving the above payment together with the confirmation from the customer's bank that the certain amount has been transferred. Upon receipt of the above, a booking confirmation will be sent to the customer.
Cancellation fee
If the customer wishes to cancel for any reason, cancellation fees will be charged. These are calculated in time from the day of receipt of the advance payment.
For all day trips:
- Cancellation up to fifteen (15) days before the start of your activity: refund of the entire deposit
- Cancellation up to three (3) days before the start of your activity: 50% refund of the deposit
- Cancellation less than three (3) days before the start of your activity: withholding of the entire amount of the deposit.
For all our multi-day excursions
- Cancellation up to thirty (30) days before the start of your activity: refund of the entire deposit
- Cancellation up to ten (10) days before the start of your activity: 50% refund of the deposit
- Cancellation less than ten (10) days before the start of your activity: withholding of the entire amount of the deposit.
- Non-appearance of the customer at the predetermined start time – withholding of the entire amount of the deposit.
During the program
The customer agrees to accept the decisions of the EXPEDITION KAYAKING escorts. If an escort judges that a participants health or behavior at any time before or after departure appears likely to compromise the safe, comfortable or orderly progress of a program, the participant may be excluded from all or part of the program without refund or compensation.
Changes to the program
EXPEDITION KAYAKING reserves the right to modify the route/program, postpone it to another date or permanently cancel it in cases where there is a safety issue or for insurmountable reasons such as natural disasters, inappropriate weather conditions, strikes, etc.
In case of cancellation of the excursion-outdoor activity by the event, 100% of the amount paid by the participant will be refunded, who cannot request any other compensation.
Extra costs
All extra costs must be paid on the spot by the customer. These are expenses requested by the client during/after the program that were not initially requested (such as gratuities, excursions, extra transfers, extra nights, extra food and drinks, etc.).
Return Policy
In case the customer requires a refund after the end of the program, he must declare his claim in writing, no later than 10 working days after the end of the program. After reviewing the request, EXPEDITION KAYAKING will respond in writing within 10 working days, after reviewing the requirements and events of the activity. No refund will be provided to the customer, if the above procedure is not followed.
Photos and videos
During the activities the participants are photographed and filmed. This material is property of EXPEDITION KAYAKING and can be used in all its promotional activities (print, website, social media, etc.). In case you do not wish to appear in the promotional material of the company, you must send us your request in writing, at the latest the end of the activity.
Disclaimer
EXPEDITION KAYAKING bears absolutely no responsibility for your activities. It has the obligation to provide adequate and safe equipment and its liability is only limited to this.
Notwithstanding the provision of the most complete equipment, activities in nature involve the risk of an accident and participation in them presupposes awareness and acceptance of this risk.
The trips and outdoor activities suggested by EXPEDITION KAYAKING are suitable for most of the audience. Participants need an average level of fitness (unless the program mentions another level of fitness), a teamwork mindset, and the ability to follow the organizers' instructions. However, there is always an element of risk of injury or even death, given the nature of outdoor activities.
Each of our clients waives any claim on his own behalf or on behalf of third parties, criminal or civil liability towards the company or any of our associates, for negligence or other liability in relation to any accident (bodily injury, death, etc.).
All your activities are mandatory with the presence of us, or our partners, to ensure the proper use and protection of the company's equipment as well as for the photography-filming of the participants.
In case our partner becomes aware of incorrect use-protection of the company's equipment, he/she has the right to ask the person(s) who is responsible for the incorrect use-protection of the equipment not to participate in the activity or permanently stop the activity. In this case all participants are obliged to complete the payment without any other requirement.
For any damage-destruction of our equipment due to the customer’s fault, the customer is solely responsible.
